Evelin Bermudez | President
Evelin Bermudez is a founding member and manages SIVO. She has twenty-five years’ experience and training in project design and management, including monitoring and evaluation methodologies in micro- finance, education, cultural resources management, social development and youth development projects. She made a career in international development working at the World Bank and various United Nations Agencies before relocating to Switzerland in 2003. She is the co-founder of the Swiss Skills Academy, a social enterprise providing skills upgrading courses. Since 2012, she has been a member of the City of Lucerne’s Integration Commission, providing advice on integration policy issues. She is passionate about integration, gender diversity in the work place and creating opportunities for women to return to work.
Julia Zlatanova | VP Marketing & Business Development
Julia Zlatanova is an independent award-winning marketing communications consultant with a successful track record and 7 years in strategic communications and integrated marketing solutions in international environment, spanning the fields of public relations, advertising, brand communications, social media, content management and CSR. She holds thorough expertise both in the corporate and NGO sector, having worked for top-tier global brands and Fortune 500 companies, as well as in support of social causes such as women’s empowerment, breast cancer prevention and the fight against domestic violence. Believing in the power of brand ambassadors, she specializes in designing communication solutions which attract, engage and inspire.
Natalie Messerli | VP Programme Operations
Natalie moved to Switzerland from the United States of America in August 2017. She studied human biology and holds a master’s degree in public health. Natalie has developed programs for adolescent health in Belize and women’s health in India. She has contributed to various policy and program evaluation projects focused on the impact systems have on key population groups. In addition, Natalie has received national award recognition for the implementation of a collective impact framework that fostered cross-sector collaboration as well as led to increased access and utilization of services. She has dedicated herself to various volunteer initiatives throughout her life and is excited to support local initiatives in Switzerland.
Janine Sass | Project Manager Strategic Volunteering & Content Specialist
Born and raised in South Africa, then relocating to the USA, UK and now Switzerland, describes Janine as an enthusiastic globetrotter, always eager for new adventures and challenges. An experienced events project manager and certified healthcare compliance professional, Janine has had the opportunity to collaborate with multinational organizations across EMEA, Asia and the Americas, predominantly within the healthcare sector. Having recently worked for a leading Swiss banking software and digital technology organization, gave her great exposure and awareness to the relevance of digital innovation. Making a difference through supporting the community and sustaining the environment, is her greatest passion. As a social butterfly, she also enjoys meeting new people and exploring new places.
Ananya Alexander | Project Manager Corporate Volunteering
With degrees in Economics and International Management, Ananya has experience across industries ranging from working with a public policy think tank to upliftment programmes for the socially disadvantaged to facilitating interactions between policymakers and stakeholders in the environmental sector. She has been instrumental in setting up projects novel to every organisation she has been part of. She most recently worked as a Project Manager for various international militaries stationed in Kuwait and monitored projects translating strategies into fruition, streamlining processes, and managing stakeholders. Ananya has always been actively involved in social upliftment programmes in India and most recently in Baden, Switzerland, where she was part of the Gastro Team at the local community kitchen. She enjoys cooking, discovering new cultures and exploring Switzerland.
MEGHA GOEL | Project Manager Asylum Seekers
Megha is a learning & development specialist with 6+ years of industry experience in large multinationals. She completed her Master in Business Administration in India before moving to Switzerland in 2018. She had been instrumental in leading large scale development programs apart from handling process aspects of people development in corporate environment. Impacting lives in our society had always been her priority and it resonates with her choice of specialization in professional domain. She is passionate for gender equality, loves to meet new people, explore new cultures and more of Switzerland.
Sabrina Chies | Supporting Local Initiatives Project Manager
Originally from Buenos Aires, Sabrina divides her life between Switzerland and Argentina since 2018. She started her career in filmmaking and has explored different artistic disciplines over the years. With also a deep interest in politics and sociology she joined SIVO to expand her field of knowledge on social dynamics, international organizations, and to contribute with the local community. She is open to embrace new scenarios using her social skills to integrate herself and others into evolving environments. Always enthusiastic about meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and providing support to the working team through her artistic vision.
Yolanda Tang | Project Manager Mentoring Programme for Professionals
The majority of Yolanda’s professional work life has spanned over a decade in the relocation and international mobility industry, employed by some of the leading global relocation providers. Born and raised in the United Kingdom, she has personally experienced international mobility herself having lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Switzerland. Yolanda is very excited with her new role with SIVO which comes at a very opportune time for her personally igniting a positive feel good factor knowing she will be able ‘to give back’ and ‘make a difference’. It will also provide an opportunity to develop new skills and build on existing experiences and knowledge. On a personal note, Yolanda enjoys spending time with family and friends, leisurely hikes in the Swiss mountains and keeping fit.
Ghenwa Kandil | Impact & Reporting Manager
Ghenwa is a dedicated professional who gained exceptional skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting. She has a Bachelor’s degree in the Science of Management and before moving to Switzerland in August 2019, Ghenwa worked at a multinational oil and gas company where she had the opportunity to be exposed to a global environment. During her previous role, Ghenwa was responsible to work on reporting tools to help business executives in their decision making. She is a culturally empathetic individual, who likes to interact and work with people of different cultures and nationalities. In addition to her own small-business, Ghenwa has a strong passion for helping others through charity work. Ghenwa is proud to assist SiVO in changing the lives of many international residents living in Lucerne.
CASSANDRA MONTOYA | Content Specialist
Born in the United States and raised in Mexico, Cassandra Montoya moved to Switzerland in 2013 to pursue her studies. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration, with a specialization in International Management and Economics, and is currently doing a Master in Health Sciences, majoring in Health Economics and Health Policy. Cassandra has actively contributed to academic interdisciplinary events as well as participated in diverse volunteering programs back in the United States. She appreciates working in dynamic environments, solving challenges and giving back to the community.
ÇILGA ATAMAN | Business Process Management Intern
Cilga Ataman is a chemical and industrial engineer with professional experience as a business development specialist. She worked on improving business processes and customer touchpoints in the automotive industry. She is currently doing a Master in Business Administration, majoring in Business Development and Promotion, with the aim of enhancing her vision and then pursuing her professional career by obtaining a business opportunity in Switzerland. She is passionate about exploring distinct initiatives and capturing the value inside every practice and enjoys collaborating with people, exchanging ideas and working in a multicultural environment.
